Achieving brand power with Sankofa Swim International

Updated: Apr 25, 2024

I recently had the privilege of collaborating closely with Dr. Ayanna Rakhu, the founder of Sankofa Swim International (SSI), an innovative aquatics training and development company with a bold mission to save lives and inspire people to join the aquatics workforce. Dr. Rakhu sought my expertise to develop SSI's brand, marketing, PR, and content strategy, and I'm excited to share how this experience can translate into helping your team or project thrive.

Together, we embarked on a journey to create a customer-first, industry-leading strategy rooted in informing, inspiring, and empowering individuals from all walks of life to reclaim their aquatic skills. Through an extensive discovery process, I crafted a clear brand identity that focused on the transformation stories and success of SSI's target customer, showcasing the struggles and breakthroughs of swimmers who gained a new confidence thanks to SSI's culturally-informed aquatic coaching approach. The strategy also included designing a powerful website that went beyond communicating SSI's impact, reach, and mission but brought the beautiful aquatic experience right to your device through creative visuals, animations, video and storytelling.

Every step of the way, our collaboration was guided by a shared vision of collaboration, creativity, and a relentless drive to stand out and connect deeply with our audience. The outcome? A comprehensive strategy roadmap that confidently guided SSI's interactions with its audience and provided actionable recommendations for future activities.

My secret sauce in this project was a fearlessness to be creative while championing SSI's mission and vision as if it were my own. Ready to infuse this same level of passion, creativity, and strategic insight into your own team or project? Let's chat and explore the possibilities! And when you get a minute, check out SSI's new website!
